Great Camcorder brilliant piture quality,only one problem there is not a NIGHT setting,so if you like using your video at night make sure you use a light,or you get noise in very low light areas.

Excellent product, fast shippment

Just tried battery which I've received yesterday. It's the only alternative to expensive bricks. After 2 hours of filming in cold morning - still enough power left. Some reviewers are mentioning power tap which my battery doesn't have and it's not an issue since i'm using LED light with AA's. However, capacity indicator is very good thing to have around. Shipping to Croatia was just 2 days which is awesome. Battery was properly packaged and protected for transport. Good product, great service. Thank You!

Great value for money

After some confusion with shipping & tracking this unit arrived after about 5 weeks the unit itself works well, the photo showing the crane causes a little confusion and led us to believe it came with the monitor & power head however it is just the crane unit on its own. The quality is excellent it sturdy well constructed. We use it at the New Year’s celebrations at Sun Corp Piazza Southbank it gave us the ability to sweep a camera across the crowd & up onto the stage. It gives the professional edge to those live shows where you are putting video up onto a large screen.

Good talkback mic for sound team to talk over FOH or montiors. Especially during setups and rehearsals.

Can also be used without the gooseneck by plugging an XLR cable into the mic, making a compact mic that might be worth trying on instruments.

Also a good way of getting an XLR terminated gooseneck :)

Good bang for buck.
Although I have only used the whole set a couple of times, I have found that the mics have many other uses than just micing up a full drum set.

The 4 MDD-ST310 Tom & Snare mics are also worth trying on other instruments including guitar amps. The drum mounts for these also come in very handy too.
I have has mine for a few years now, and one of these 4 mics died early on, but I forgot about it as I almost never use all 4 on one kit at one time, so I only remembered when I tried to use all 4 the other day. But at this price you can afford to get another set and just for the condensers alone this would be a worthwhile investment.

The MDD-K200 Kick mic can also be used on a bass amp to quite good effect. And for a really good kick sound, try placing a Globalmediapro MC-19PA boundary condenser microphone inside the kick drum on a pillow or foam, near the front skin (with the bass roll-off switch) to get a nice tight click sound from the beater and then mix this in with the boom from the MDD-K200.

The 3 x MDC-OH100 cardioid condenser microphones are the best mic I have ever used in that they are a pretty good overhead mic for drums, a really good choral mic that can be used well in stage productions and a real versatile instrument mic. I would love to try this on strings!
One of the features I love about this mic is that it can use both a AA battery & Phantom power. This is a feature often found on shotgun mics but few others. This lends itself very well to use with wireless packs making it a perfect stage mic. With a custom adaptor cable, a wireless body pack of a lapel mic can be attached to the stand and moved freely about the stage with no cable clutter.
I have found this use to be very good with stage plays where drama / singing require mics onstage, but dance performances require the mics to be cleared away as there is no cable clutter to trip over or be distracting.

I found that a fast setup option of one overhead and the kick mic also works really well, especially outdoors where there is wind noise to consider and a whole drum mic kit picks up wind really well, so chopping it down to just 2 mics helps get round this while also being quick and effective.

At this price, you can afford to really think outside the box and experiment with these mics.

This is a nice well made and strong tripod. Its only 5 feet high but it inspires confidence. Some have complained that the fluid head is too stiff, but warm it up with a few pans and it does the job nicely.

What an awesome camera

We looked at the canon lens but decided the extra zoom outweighed the extra little bit of light, we often use it under artificial light and works a treat, I strongly suggest moving away from the factory settings and setting it up for your personal needs. If you’re a serious videographer this camera has be a serious consideration.at this price you’d be silly not to make this purchase, only down side is order a separate battery and power supply, we intending a couple more of these in the near future.

Compact but still does the job!!

I have had this camera since June 2007. I have had absolutely no problems with it. It has travelled to several countries with me and filmed several weddings over the past three and a half years.

It is very small which helps when travelling but if you want ease of access to manual adjustments you do have to access the menu on the LCD (eg manual audio levels). This may discourage some people. For the increase in price, at the time I purchased, to the bigger models that have adjustment knobs it wasn't worth it. (Almost double the price).

There is one assign button that you can select for white balances/bars etc that saves you needing to access the menu. I use it for bars. The audio shoe is a good option for XLR inputs and I also add a radio mic receiver to the top. It can make the camera a bit top heavy but compared to the cameras I use at work this little guy is still very very light even with all the add ons.

IN CONCLUSION:
It will do the same job as the bigger Sony HDV cameras its just a little less user friendly... but that is where its great for travelling and on the wallet.

PERFECT CHOICE FOR MY JVC 110

I am very happy with my choice ! Before i by this item i used the jvc 428u batteries and i was very dissapointed because i have - in the best case - 30 minutes recording time.
Now i try my new battery and the recording time was about 2 hours and 40 minutes.

really good monitor, however it DOES NOT support 1080 50i or 1080 25i.
Could not get working even out of SONY PDW F350 in Pal DVCAM MODE. would have been better off with the 7723 model.

Lasts very long

Tried out these batteries in my Fostex PD-6 (which draws about 2A * 12-15V ≈ 25W) and got over 3 hours of running time straight out of the box. Haven't tried them in the field yet, but I'm expecting very good performance. If they keep this amount of power in the long run I'll very satisfied.

I just recieved my charger today with 3 of GMP's own branded NP-batteries and they seem to be working excellent.The charger can charge two batteries simultaneously and supply power to my recording equipment (a Fostex PD-6) at the same time. I haven't had any experience in the long run with GMP's own brand, but this far I'm very pleased.
