I read that Sony EX1 need firmware upgrade to work whith it
for me it doesnt work with sony ex1

Originally i bought it for my xdcam to try though it is written it doenst
work with HD.I gave it a try but the sony EX1 didnt recognise it even
when i tried to put sonys software on it . so i am using it as a simple
drive. Maybe someone else knows better how to make it work i didnt
succeed.
