The camera is excellent for all your small filming requirements. As soon
as the camera was received,we filmed an commercial for one of the biggest
telecom in our country and the output was excellent. Its sure value for
money and one should stop looking for other expensive products. The
service of GMP was exceptional.I got my cameras in 4 working days.As I
was the first buyer and this was the first time I was buying from any
e-commerce website,I was afraid after I sent my money and had my
reservations of getting the stuff after paying but within 24hrs I was
able to track my payments and the shipments. It was a wonderful
experience.I have placed more orders with GMP now.

It is the 3th time that i purchased at Globalmedia pro. From 30 to 40 %
sheaper than in Europe. With the garantee, no problem all over the world.
The HVR-Z7 works perfect, very good camera, and easy to use. The handling
of this camera is identical to the camera "Pro-broadcast". It is well
balanced and the image quality is breathtaking.

An excellent camera that has professional-style controls. I shoot mostly
in Standard Definition, and SD quality is much better than with Sony
HVR-Z1. There is just a little overshoot in edges with heavy contrast.
It's a good idea to use -6 dB as your default gain setting as this will
reduce noise a bit.

Problems:
Avid doesn't support importing time code from CF media recorded with this
camera. This is a real downside if you work with Avid Media Composer. All
the imported clips start from TC 00:00:00:00. If only Sony had a tool for
converting the Raw DV or QuickTime clips to MXF, this would fix it.

A great all round camera, easy to use and a good step towards ENG
cameras. Picture quality is fantastic and recording to compact flash is
such a good thing.
