Thw IRC-51 is the "Chairman's" tabletop microphone used with the Azden 6-channel IR wireless conference system. This microphone is always on channel #1. It features a push ON /push OFF "talk" button as well as a "Mute" button that turns all of the "Participant's" microphones OFF.

The IRC-51 can be powered by 6 "AA" Alkaline batteries or by 6 of Azden's 1HR-3U rechargeable NiMH batteries, which ccan be charged while in the unit. In fact, the microphone can be used while the batteries are charging. Operating time on fresh batteries is approximately 4-5 hours.
