Canon EOS-7D DSLR Camera
The Canon EOS 7D is a professional / semi-pro camera which shoots in the APS-C size format. The Canon 7D comes with a 18 megapixels APS-C CMOS sensor, Dual DIGIC 4 processors and ISO sensitivity up to 12800. The 7D also delivers high performance AF and metering systems with a 19-point cross-type AF sensor and an iFCL metering system with 63-zone dual-layer sensor.

Features

- 18 MP APS-C CMOS Sensor
Designed and manufactured by Canon, the sensor produces an outstanding image and offers fantastic performance at high and low conditions, thanks to a new photodiode and microlens construction.

- 8 fps image capture
Enabled by the Dual "DIGIC" 4 processors and improved electrical system, photographers can capture images at 8fps, without the need for additional accessories and in all file types.

- ISO Range
The EOS 7D enables photographers to capture subjects in their natural light. The ISO range (100 - 6,400) is expandable to 12,800.

- EOS Movie
With improved operation, making it easy to switch directly to movie mode, it is now even simpler to shoot Full HD video. Users can set exposure and frame rate - with options for 24 fps to create that cinematic feel.

- Dual "DIGIC 4" processors
By utilising Dual "DIGIC 4" processors, users of the EOS 7D never have to compromise between shooting speed, image quality and ISO performance.

- Impressive Design
Canon has listened to photographer feedback when designing the body, as well as the internal technologies. A magnesium alloy body offers environmental protection - the tough, lightweight construction is designed to defend against moisture, and dust - equivalent to the legendary EOS-1N.

After days of research i have decided to go the Globalmedia root.
at first it was a scary thought thinking that i must deposit R27000.00 in an overseas account. I must say that the communication and tracking of my order made me feel comfortable. the delivery time was excellent (4 days) well done, it was a excellent shopping experience.
The only frustration that i have encountered was with the delays with my own bank sorting all the red tape. If i can suggest one thing i will keep the system as is for first time buyers, but after you have a track record with a customer maybe allow that guy to make use of a credit card facility.

Very impressed with the communication and tracking from the moment of ordering to delivery (by UPS). Really adds a level of confidence. The product arrived very well packaged and in perfect condition pretty much when GMP said it would.

The image quality is just as has been objectively described in many pro reviews elsewhere. The array of features is extensive and overwhelming at first if you've only used consumer-grade cameras before. My camera was sourced in Japan and came with menus set to Japanese. It would be handy if the camera had a first-boot language selection but it doesn't. If you need to change the language you'll need to follow the user guide counting menus and rows to find the option to change.

The battery charger that came with the camera was the style with the directly attached [US] pins (they fold-away when travelling) so I had to buy an adapter (Australian in my case) that would also allow the charger body to sit flush against it in use.

It is a true 21st century camera with remote control of most features plus image download via USB to a PC or laptop out of the box (software provided). Other remote control options are BlueTooth, ethernet or WiFi, both of which require optional hardware to operate.

One of the reasons you may be considering this camera is it's video capability. I bought the camera for both stills and as a static second video camera for shallower DOF and my plan has always been to buy a full HD video camera as well. Several pro reviews said that zooming and refocus will be very difficult during video shooting with this camera, and that is very true. You probably won't be able to do good follow-action style videoing out of the box if it requires either. I also plan to buy an eye-piece to go over the LCD display (Zacuto make one called the Z-finder IIRC), otherwise IMO shooting and focusing out-doors will be too hit-and-miss (naturally you can't use the camera's own view-finder in video mode).

I am over the moon with my new camera!!! The process took a little longer than expected but in the end I got my new camera and is so happy to say it really is all and more than what I expected!

The body is a bit heavy for us girls but one of my friends says that the heavier your camera the better it is.
The buttons can be confusing in the beginning and I must still figure out some buttons, but the pleasure I get every time I push the button is satisfying than anything!
Thank you for your professional and wonderful service!
