this recorder is an exellent choice for its price. very good value for
money. it would be nice though if it had an audio optical input too
though.

This camera is perfect to amaturs and professoinal companies that wants a
camera that is a one camera production camera.. this camera is entry
level so it don`t have the professional quality but it can be just what
you need. this is a camera that is not expensive so you can "play" a
litte more whit it! THIS IS A GOOD CAMERA BUT IT HAVE SOME DOWN SIDES(not
many).

These mic's are great value for money. The condenser mic's in particular
I have used for over heads, for choral work and a little bit of
recording. I have owned this set for about 3 1/2 - 4 years. I am happy
with them as recording mics and am very pleased I bought them. For live
work they are a bit too sensitive, being a musician in a covers band you
get shoved into all sorts of tiny corners and tiny stages. I get an awful
lot of bleed from other instruments and I struggle with feedback when I
am using these mic's as opposed to the likes of Shure SM57's for snare
and Tom work, but these mic's are perfect for recording. All said, I am
happy with this product, the mics reproduce good sound, and send signals
down the wire which come out of speakers somewhere down the line.
Great Cam
By Pep

Pro's: -Good image quality, lot's of features to tweak. -Love the
semi-pro approach. -Fantastic high-res viewfinder (although a bit flimsy
plastic oculair) -Can be used with 10x cheaper sxs cards: try the
"Kensington 7-in-1 Media Reader for ExpressCard Slot" (which fits in the
cams' slots) in combination with the "Sandisk Ultra II SD HC 16GB" cards
(15MB/S) (yes, the tiny ones!) This combination works fine in all
resolutions as long as you don't overcrank (=shoot higher frame rates =
in cam slomo's: but for this you can use the provided Sony 8GB SXS card!)
-Shoot forever: if you keep changing cards from slot A to B to A....
-Interchangable lens is super-option! Lots of 1/2" glass second hand out
there. Cons: -Quiet heavy for handheld, you need an extra shoulder mount,
but that also really solves the problem! -Bit plastic all-over, but most
essential parts are sturdy (handle with care and have no problems) -some
buttons are really Sony-**** (you know, tiny without feel... -expensive
batteries (you need 2 extra BP-U60's) Allover: Value for money: first
class! Shooting real full HD on 3x 1/2" CMOS cannot be beaten for this
price, so live with the small imperfections and be happy!
These batteries are great they last half the day .

Excellent is not just "ass kissing". As a child it was funny to have the
statement that if you dig a hole thrue the earth you will show up in
China. But the fact is that this hole will show up between New Zealand
and australia. What do I mean with that tale. Simply that at time from
the order confimation to delivery half a way the globe only took 3
working days!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tapes are VERY expensive in Denmark, so by
buying tapes at you I get them cheap WITOUT long delivery time

Tapes are fine, and are reasonable quality. I did not appreciate the
recent price rise however.
Better than Sony?
By T

Had a set of these for over 2 years, and they still hold an excellent
charge. Much better value than the branded ones, and d-tap out is a
bonus. Highly recommended.
Excellent, very very satisfied!

An excellent remote controller. Excellent construction material, high
precision electronics, good sensitivity on the progressive rocker,
compatible with Canon and Fujinon Broadcast lenses too (by removing the
Sony PMW-EX1's adapter and by switching Canon or Fuji lenses by the
switch on the body). Rec button switchable between REC and RET.

Good professional camera
By Niko
from Finland on 2008-12-25
An excellent camera that has professional-style controls. I shoot mostly
in Standard Definition, and SD quality is much better than with Sony
HVR-Z1. There is just a little overshoot in edges with heavy contrast.
It's a good idea to use -6 dB as your default gain setting as this will
reduce noise a bit.
Great Camera

A great all round camera, easy to use and a good step towards ENG
cameras. Picture quality is fantastic and recording to compact flash is
such a good thing.

Lets you charge up to 4 batteries simultaneously (but use only 3 if you
want to charge at the fastest speed). In the display you find lots of
useful information, such as how much longer it'll take to get the battery
fully charged, the percentage charged, and more.
Great for longer interviews

I do a lot of event recording and the camera is as created. Positive:
Light but by the camera like a shoulder camera. Therefore, very stable
images. Good low light properties. And if the camera once at a live event
to be destroyed, this is not so bad (little price).
It's a Sony!

I have had this battery as a replacement for my IDX NP series for over a
year. They are excellent value for money and have never given me any
trouble. The only problem is that they will only charge with the
Globalmediam charger.
